Roadsend: Tower Defense

Every road ends at your gate.

In testing now. Android phones and tablets.

The Wardstones at the ends of the King’s Roads are failing. Gates are tearing open, and armies march down every road towards Roadsend, the old royal city. Hold the line from the green Heartlands to the burning Ember Wilds, then go to where the roads begin and seal the gates for good.

Roadsend is a fantasy tower defense campaign for phones and tablets. Every battlefield is bigger than your screen. Enemies come in from every edge, so you pan, zoom and turn the camera to guard every road, and you build where the fight is.

A campaign with an ending

  • 30 battles in three acts, on 15 hand-built maps: meadows, river fords, misty downs, salt marshes, haunted woods, quarries, mountain passes and a burning crater.
  • A short story told in illustrated cards and a few lines before each battle, and a real ending.
  • Four bosses: the Hollow King, Grubnak the Warchief, Gorrum the Troll King and Azhkar the Ember Lord.

Build, upgrade and repair

  • Drag a tower card onto the map: Archer Towers, Bombards, Frost Mages and Barracks, each with three levels.
  • Ogres, rams and catapults attack your towers. Repair them, or rebuild them from the rubble.
  • Barracks send out soldiers who stop enemies in their tracks.

Three heroes and four spells

  • The Warden holds the road with sword and shield, Wren the Ranger strikes from range, and Orrin the Arcanist shields your towers and throws enemies back.
  • Arrow Volley, Frost Snap, Meteor and Call Militia cost no gold, only time to recharge.

Stars, the War Room and Heroic

  • Earn up to three stars in each battle and spend them in the War Room on lasting upgrades.
  • Play a won battle again on Heroic to earn its crown.
